Paula Frank, 97, died peacefully in West Lafayette on January 8, 2015. Her allotted time was punctuated by transit and relocation. Born to Boris and Fanya Davidson in the final days of the Russian Empire in St. Petersburg on November 15, 1917, Paula successively lived in Danzig (now Gdansk, Poland), Paris, New York, San Francisco, and in the final years she played catch-up to an itinerant son, relocating to Lexington and West Lafayette. Paula was happily married to John Frank for over 65 years, until he died in March 2011. Her many addresses provided the opportunity to become completely fluent in Russian, German, French, and finally English, skills that allowed her to see the world from many points of view. Paula and John travelled widely and enjoyed music, art, and theater. She always voted Democrat, and was proud of her Jewish heritage. Paula is survived by two sons, Daniel (Lynn Parrish) of West Lafayette and Leonard (Mazal) of Petach Tikvah, Israel, as well as by many grandchildren. Services are private.
