Patsy “Pat” Marocco, 93 of Lafayette passed away on December 26 at Mulberry Health and Retirement Community. He was born in Logansport on March 15, 1922. Pat served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. From 1940-1942. He then served in the US Navy from 1942-1946. His boat, PC626, participated in the Sicily and Italy Campaigns.
On June 28, 1947 he married Eseline Firmani in Logansport.
Pat worked for over three decades as a laborer for the Rockwell Corporation in Logansport. He retired at the age of 63 with special recognition for never missing a day of work.
Pat loved his garden, his wine and most of all, his family.
Pat is survived by his wife, Eseline; daughter, Anita Goris (Husband Jack) of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Kyle Goris (wife Hilari) of Westfield, Jaclyn Cosantino (husband Chris) of Westfield and Kate Goris of Chicago as well as two great grandchildren, Jackson and Sophia.
Pat is preceded in death by a son, Pat.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 29 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Eric Underwood. His burial will follow at 1:00 pm at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Logansport with military rights. Memorials in Pat’s name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
