Patricia Shackelford, 70, of Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at her home.
She was born September 16, 1947, in Newport, IN, to the late Harold Myers and Luella Harvey Myers Gilbert. Patricia graduated from Covington Community High School in 1967 and on December 20, 1969 she married Robert Shackelford in Fowler and he survives. Patty was a member of Honey Creek Misionary Baptist Church in Russiaville.
Surviving with her husband are her children Michael Shackelford of Lafayette, Daniel (Theresa) Shackelford of Logansport, Amy (Darrell) Lile of Hoopeston, IL, Steven (Crystal) Shackelford of Indianapolis, Andrew (Thesha) Shackelford of Hoopeston, IL, Sherman Shackelford, James (Elizabeth) Shackelford of all Lafayette, Lisa (Brian) Shackelford of Monticello, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters Sarah (Pat) Roark of Rossville, IL, Joy (Allen) Harper of Catlin, IL, Robin (Steve) Henager of Champaign, IL, and Carolyn Querry of Tilton, IL. Patricia was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday at Wea Ridge Baptist Church.
