Patricia Leigh Trice

Patricia Leigh Coling Trice, 82, of Lafayette, died Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.
Born Jan. 31, 1928, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Letha Deitrick Coling. She was a 1945 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and attended Purdue University. She resided in the Lafayette area for many years.
On Dec. 28, 1946, she married John Buckner Trice III in Elkton, Ky., and he preceded her in death on March 10, 2005.
Mrs. Trice worked as a medical transcriptionist at St. Elizabeth Medical Center from 1979 until 1993. Prior to that she worked in Kokomo for several physicians? offices and an orthopedic clinic, and before moving to Kokomo she had worked for Dr. Frank Peyton and the Purdue University Health Clinic.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy T. Morlan (husband: Tom III) of West Lafayette; two sons, Ben Trice of Lafayette and Phil Trice (wife: Deborah) of West Lafayette; and two sisters, Arline Coling of Indianapolis and Mary Jo Risk of Lafayette.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Michelle Morlan (companion: Matthew Flickinger) of Vashon, Wash., Brad Dickson (wife: Allise) of Bronxville, N.Y., Joel Dickson (companion: Stephanie Fjeld) of Portland, Ore., Melissa McTague (husband: Sean) of Lafayette, Virginia Jones (husband: Corey) of Austin, Texas, Thomas Morlan IV (wife: Erica) of West Lafayette, John T. Trice of Bloomington, Katherine Noah, Catlin Trice, Laura Trice and David Trice, all of West Lafayette; 7 great-grandchildren, Conor and Ava Jones of Austin, Lindsey and Logan McTague of Lafayette, Kade and Haven Morlan of West Lafayette, and Lily Dickson of Bronxville; 2 daughters-in-law, Karen Johnson of Saluda, N.C., and Tracy Trice of West Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was a son, John Trice IV; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation 2 hours prior to a 2 p.m. service Thursday, July 22, 2010, at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906, with the Rev. Susan Lisack officiating. Entombment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute either to Lafayette Urban Ministries, 420 N.
