Orval W. Sowers, 69, of Romney, IN, died at 11:17 AM Monday June 3, 2013 at IU Health Arnett .He was born March 6, 1944, in Rockville,IN to the late George W. & Frances L. Hughes Sowers. On Oct. 21,1989, he married Laurie J. Maxwell and she survives. Orval worked as a professional tree trimmer for the Anthrop Tree Service. Orval enjoyed NASCAR, bowing,spending time grandkids.Surviving is his wife Laurie J. Sowers, Romney son Richard Sowers( wife Jackie)Lafayette daughters-Gloria Powell (husband Dave)Lafayette, Pam Davis , West Lafayette , Laura Maxwell ,Lafayette , Dawn Foltz,Romney also surviving are 13 grand children and 7 great grand children. Visitation will be Thursday 5PM-7PM June 6, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel Funeral Service 10AM Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel , Pastor Troy Hochstetler officiating. Burial will be at Spring Vale Cemetery. Preceded in death by parents, a son Kenneth Sowers ,1 sister, 4 brothers.
