O Joyce Simons, 80, of Lafayette, died at 4:30 am Monday March 9, 2015 at St Anthony Health Care.She was born July 18, 1934, in Lafayette, to the late William and Alice Shoaf Simons. She graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1950 and attended Purdue University for two years. Joyce enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and time spent with her family and friends. Joyce was employed at Purdue University for 39 years in the employment services department. Surviving are her brothers, Thomas “Tom” (Chris), Humble,TX Robert “Bob” Simons (Carolyn),Lafayette, James “Jim” Simons (Patricia “Pat”),Lafayette Several nieces and nephews and one great niece,special friends Joan and Helen Klemme ,West Lafayette. Visitation will be Thursday 12:30pm-1:30pm March 12, 2015 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel followed by the funeral at 1:30pm Fr. Bob Klemme officiating. Entombment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Harold, and Paul Simons. Those wishing may contribute to the charity of choice.
