I knew Nora all my life. She was a dear friend of my mom Helen Jacobs and her sister Margorie Jacobs. I last saw Nora in the summer of 2008 when mom and I visited Lafayette. She was kind enough to let mom borrow her car. She also came to VA to visit mom in her new place next to mine. I had hoped to visit her this summer on a visit to Lafayette. She will remain in my heart the rest of my life.

I send my deepest condolences to the loved ones of Nora. Nora was a remarkable woman, she played a signigicant roll in many lives. I fondly remember her involvement in the soriety with my mother, the late Mary Jo Overley, the delicious mints she made for all of my sisters graduations and weddings. She used to joke with me that I needed to hurry up and get married if I wanted mints for my wedding.
I sadly acknowledge I will not have mints or more importantly Nora at my wedding if & when it occurs.
Nora was a wonderful woman for so many reasons, I will always remember her.
Again, my deepest sympathy.

Regards,
Cindy Overley

Contrary and classy lady. Outspoken and loved. Caring and obstinate. Aunt Nora was a very special and original person. To know her was to love her for herself and you knew that she loved you too. Thanks for being a part of our lives and someday we will meet again and you can speak your mind to me some more. Love, Skip
