Nicholas Steven Roberts, 37, of Lafayette passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2024, at his residence in Lafayette.
He was born June 15, 1987, in Hammond to Steven Wayne and Evangeline (Ohlund) Roberts. He attended Rensselaer Central High School.
Nicholas was a very intelligent and gifted man. If something interested him, he was going to learn about it or learn to do it. He was a self-taught guitar player, gamer, and poker player. His gift of being a great Poker player earned him an invite to play in Las Vegas. Above all, Nicholas was kind, generous, and always thought of others before himself. He loved watching and feeding the squirrels and always made sure they had peanuts and water. He leaves behind his favorite squirrel Shorty and friends Darrell and Kenny.
Nicholas is survived by his daughter, his pride and joy, Keagan Roberts of DeMotte; mother and stepfather, Evangeline and Jeff Anderson; siblings, Serenity (Donald) Howell of West Lafayette, Brandy Roberts of Lafayette, Ashley (Hunter) Whitten of Whitestown, Jon (Samantha) Anderson of Lafayette; and Jenifer (Dustin) Miller of Lafayette; grandparents, Donald and Bonnie Roberts of DeMotte; 10 nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Wayne Roberts; sister, Heather Roberts; uncle Brian Roberts and cousins, Kevin and Sarah.
