Nellie L. Denham, 89, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at IU Arnett Hospital.
She was born September 18, 1927, in Tompkinsville, KY, to the late Clurie and Pearlie Page Gray.Nellie graduated from Monitor High School class of 1947.She worked many years at Grave’s Bakery in West Lafayette and a home maker.
On September 10, 1949 in Frankfort she married Richard Patrick Denham and he passed away November 10, 1996. Nellie enjoyed crosswords, camping, boating, painting, gardening, and the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are Daughter, Lisa (husband Wayne) Carter of Lafayette, Son, Randy (wife Marva) Denham of Dayton, Grandchildren, Logan Greene (husband Quinton), Lesley Maly (husband Steve), Brad Denham (wife Janelle), Great-grandchildren, Shaylee and Cassie Maly, Tyler Denham, Landon and Lane Denham, and sister-in-law Dorothy Gray. Nellie was preceded in death by granddaughter Kimberly Squire, sister Ruby Irons, and brother Robert Gray.
Visitation will be Thursday from 9am to 10am followed by a service at 10am Thursday August 17th Soller-Baker Lafayette chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Stewart. Entombment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens West Lafayette, IN.Memorial Contributions may be made to: Almost Home Humane Society.
