Nancy and I were bridge partners in the Tri Delt house at IU. She was my good friend through the years even though we only met in person once after college, when my daughter and I visited her some 30 years ago. I finally quit inviting Nancy to visit me in Washington DC ("WHY?" was always her response!) and decided I was lucky enough to be on her Christmas letter list: it was always the best mail of the year. Nancy's wry humor and good-natured crankiness combined with her serious writing skill and love of cats and flowers made her a fascinating woman. When her letters ceased coming and mine weren't answered, I assumed an illness of some sort. I am sorry to all Nancy's friends and family for your loss. I'm sure you miss her greatly. Sincerely, Nancy O'Neill Breth

Nancy and I were sorority sisters and law school roommates. We yearly exchanged long letters at Christmas catching each other up on our current lives. I was fortunate to join Nancy for our 50th reunion at Indiana School of Law. It is a memory I will cherish. She was a good friend but more importantly a good person. She dearly loved her family and her garden. I have missed communicating the last two years but knew from our visit and family contact that she has not been well. May she Rest In Peace now.

I was saddened to view Nancy's Obituary in the Journal & Courier. She provided me and my family with wise and effective council for many years. She wrote deeds, contracts and provided clear thoughtful advise that I eagerly sought. But more importantly it was a pleasure to talk and be with her. She was always gracious and kind. A truly Wonderful lady!
