Nancy C. Perkins, 86, of Clarks Hill, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at her home.  She was born March 3, 1934, in Clinton County, IN, to the late Minor and Alta (Bowen) Smith.  Nancy graduated from Clarks Hill High School in 1952.   On October 30, 1954, she married Donald E. Perkins at Clarks Hill Christian Church and he survives.  Nancy worked at ALCOA, JC Penney’s and quite a few years at Neuwelt’s Fabric Center.  She was a member of Clarks Hill Christian Church and Ladies Aid. Nancy taught primary Sunday School Class and Ladies Sunday School Class.  Nancy enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and reading.

Surviving along with her husband are her daughters Melody A. (David) Murphy of Lafayette, Leslie S. (Kevin) Waldridge of Clarks Hill, grandchildren Laura (Jacob) VanderHaeghen, Cameron McIntyre, Josh (Carin) Waldridge, Drew Waldridge, great grandchildren Cecelia, Gustav, Joel and Xiomara.  Don and Nancy loved their nieces and nephews as well.  Also surviving is her sister Shirley R. (Wayne) Doke and a sister-in-law Shirley A. Smith all of Clarks Hill.  Nancy was preceded in death by her twin sons Darrell and Darrin Perkins and siblings Jimmy Smith and Marjorie Hodgen.

A private service will be held on Tuesday at Clarks Hill Christian Church.  Interment will be at Union Cemetery in Clarks Hill.  The family would like to thank Guardian Angel Hospice for their great care and support.  Memorial contributions may be made to Clarks Hill Christian Church in Nancy’s memory.
