Nana C. Baraga, 97, of Lafayette, IN, died at 6:50 PM Wednesday January 13, 2016 at Creasy Springs Health Campus. She was born September 14, 1918, in Milan, Tennessee to the late Robert and Dora Stiller Hargis.
On June 5, 1943 she married Stanley Baraga and he passed away on February 28, 2005. They resided in Minneapolis, MN all their married life until February, 2004, when they moved to Lafayette, IN. Nana held an elementary teaching license and taught until retiring in 1975. She especially enjoyed spending her retirement years with her 3 sisters who preceded her in death, Ruth O. Hays, Mildred B. Banes, and Doris I. Mathews.
Surviving is Niece, Deb Lafuse (husband Kim), Lafayette, and Nephew, John W. Mathews (wife Mary Ann), Eagle, ID, Nephew, Robert S. Mathews, (wife Peggy), St. Louis, MO, six great nieces and nephews, and five great-great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10-11am Monday January 18, 2016 at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum
