Minnie (Fultz) Bradford, 90, of West Lafayette, formerly of West Point died December 9, 2016 at 10:04 am at home surrounded by family.
She was born October 23, 1926 in Tazwell, TN to the late Henry Barton and Medie (Sandifur) Fultz . She attended school in Claiborne County, TN and married the love of her life, Jesse McDonald Bradford on July 2, 1943 in Claiborne County, TN. He has been patiently waiting for her in heaven since August 20, 2014.
Minnie was a member of Antioch Christian Fellowship Church. She was a homemaker and mother to 7 children. She enjoyed home, gardening, quilting and she loved her flower garden. She also enjoyed canning and nothing went to waste, which resulted in hundreds of jars of canned goods in the house. Above all Minnie cherished the time spent with her family and family gatherings.
She is survived by her children, Farris Bradford and Hollis W. Bradford of West Lafayette, Amie L. (Mike) Kopacz of Wabasha, MN, Carrie S. (Don) Fassnacht of West Lafayette, Jessie M. (Dale) Rathbone of Reynoldsburg, OH, Margie A. (Marty) Williams of West Lafayette, C. Dale (Shanna) Bradford of Lafayette; a brother, Tommy Fultz and a sister Bernice (Dave) Allen both of Monticello; 19 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 11 great great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Charlie, Harvey, Richard, Floyd, and Infant Evans Fultz; 3 sisters, Bertha Whitaker, Hazel Gard, Priscilla Smallwood.
Visitation will be from 10:30 am until time of service at 11:30 am, Friday, December 16 at the Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel with Pastor Doyle Buckner officiating. Interment will follow at IOOF Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations given in Minnie’s name go to Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Indiana Chapter at www.alz.org or to Great Lakes Hospice at www.greatlakescaring.com. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
