Michael William Alspaugh, 54, of Lafayette, passed away at 9:57 pm Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at his residence. He was born November 30, 1960, in Lafayette, to Marlowe A. (Beckley) Alspaugh of Boston, MA and the late Dr. Dale W. Alspaugh. Michael was a graduate of West Lafayette High School and attended Purdue University. He worked in various finance positions and had been a loan officer. His marriage of twenty two years was to Cheryl Alkire. Michael was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed airplanes, nature, cooking, trying new foods, telling stories, and helping other people. Surviving along with his mother are two sons, Adam Alspaugh of Lafayette and Ryan Alspaugh (Spouse Bryan Coakes) of Chicago, IL, a daughter, Anna Alspaugh of Lafayette, along with three sisters, Susan Briggs (Spouse Steve) of Delphi, Patricia Alspaugh, and Barbara Floss (Spouse Peter) both of Boston, MA. Friends will be received from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with Rev. Dr. Jeff Cover officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute in Michael's name to the Dale W.
