David, I grieve with you of Micheals Passing. I loved that young man! He was energetic, enthusiastic, authentic, would not allow the mondaine to get in his way. I loved the way he championed the underdog and how his heart fought hard to overcome obstacles. He will be missed in so many different ways. I loved how he loved people! your friend, Ed Selvidge

I am so saddened to read of Michael’s passing! He was one of my favorite students and had a heart of gold. His life was shortened, but he taught us all so much about how to live. May His peace comfort you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I wanted to share my deepest sympathies with the Bonham family, but I also wanted to share a few fun memories I have of Mike from our childhood. My earliest memories I have of him were from early elementary school when he was gearing up for a big surgery. A group of my friends and I decided to make him a "care package" for his hospital stay....I can still remember him returning to school saying he had multiple girlfriends giving him gifts - he was always full of jokes :) I also remember a time (I am sure you do too) when he figured out how to hack the claw (maybe a different game?) machine at the mall to spit out multiple mini iPad. In true Mike fashion, he was selling them at school the next day....but he was also offering free ones to his friends. I have so many memories of Mike being the center of attention telling jokes with the biggest grin on his face. I will always remember Mike in this way, and I am sure you will too. With love, Bailey

I am so sorry for your loss. When I received the email this morning, I was in disbelief. Michael was one of my students and continued to stay in contact with me even after his BUSN 105 class back in the Fall of 2016. Whenever Michael was around campus, he would always stop in to see me and chat. He was always talking and engaging with other students and always had a story to tell. There was a lot that I appreciated about Michael, but his entrepreneurial spirit is something I will never forget. I am sure he learned this from his parents, but there was always a story. Most of them had to do with buying and selling silver or silver coins, but there were also the phone charging cords, EarPods and anything else he could get a retail store to price match for him:) He was also very savvy with his Robinhood Trading account! I am going to miss the random times of his phone calls to ask for advice on what he should do when he encountered a difficult situation. Michael was unique, he was gifted, he was driven, he was a great student, he was caring, and he had a passion for life. I will truly miss Michael as my heart truly hurts for his family. May God comfort your family and give you peace. I will be praying for you. Respectfully, James Gordon

I have learned about the passing of Michael. He was one of my students in my Business Ethics Class and I truly enjoyed having him. He joined us via zoom a couple of times as well and I was able to 'visually' meet him and we shared some laughs during game night one evening as well. I knew he was going through treatment and was to have surgery and I was heart broken to hear of his passing. Prayers to his family and please let me know if you need anything!! Amanda (Ivy Tech Professor)

I am saddened to hear of Michael's passing. Ivy Tech Community College halls and classrooms will not be the same without him. He was a frequent fixture around the college and our lives were enriched by his presence. He challenged us at times, but he was always respectful and a joy to see and visit with. We the college and I specifically, will miss him. (John Laws, Vice Chancellor for Student Success)
