Michael A. Bennett, 51, of Lafayette died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 22, 1964, in Danville, IL, to Larry and Arlene Lawhorn Bennett of Kentland. Mike graduated from Benton Central High School in 1982 and served in the United States Navy. On August 25, 2001 he married Linda Hayes Davis and she survives. Michael worked as a Service Technician for 19 years. He was a member of ABATE of Indiana and was a motorcycle safety instructor for many years. Mike was member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter K and the NRA. He enjoyed scuba diving, traveling, riding his motorcycle and restoring old cars. Surviving with his wife is a stepdaughter Cassandra L. Naden of Noblesville, a sister Robin A. Davis (Sam) of Morocco, a niece Jennifer Boring (Rodney) of Rensselaer, nephews Ricky Hughes (Lisa) of Lake Village, Derek Hughes (Tara) of Rensselaer and 8 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Rev. J. William Overbay officiating.
