Marybelle Driscoll-Underwood-Swaim, 88, formerly of Lafayette, passed away Thursday in St Augustine FL. She was born April 28, 1926, in Midland, IN, to the late Offie Ross and Roxie Elizabeth Knight Driscoll. She graduated from Midland High School, in Midland, IN, class of 1944. On Nov. 13, 1945 she married John E. Underwood. He preceded her in death. She then married Robert Dale Swaim on Jan. 16, 1986. He passed away on March 4, 2013. Marybelle was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Lafayette. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, the Indianapolis 500, going to the beach and spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Swaim worked in retail for more than 30 years. She moved to St Augustine, FL the last part of her life to be near her children. Surviving are her son, Bruce Underwood, of Port Orange, FL, daughter, Connie Van Winkle (husband Allen) of St. Augustine FL., step children, Dawn Watson (husband Steve) of Mooresville, IN, Scott Swaim of Whittier, CA, and Carol Ann Mellay of Rockport, IN. Also surviving are her brothers, Bert Driscoll (wife Shirley) of Ft. Myers FL, T.Ross Driscoll of Lafayette, IN, James Driscoll (wife Pat) of Lafayette, IN, grandchildren, Wendy VanWinkle Diamond, Casey VanWinkle, RoxanneUnderwood, Holly VanWinkle Schopp, Betsy Underwood Meyer, and Ryan Underwood,and 12 great grand children. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Driscoll Weatherwax and a granddaughter, Julia Underwood. Visitation will be 9:30am until the service begins at 11:30am all on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909 with Rev.
