The Wilcox family were our neighbors in West Lafayette for many years, and Mary welcomed me into their family for many meals. She was the only mother on the street with a career, which made a big impact on me. She and Jim were always kind and calm. I especially remember one summer day breaking my arm in the park when Mary was the only adult in the neighborhood that day, and how reassuring she was while I waited for my folks to arrive. My condolences to Jim, Barbara and Steve and your families. May her memory be a blessing.
