Mary Jane Bol

? Mary Jane Bol, 92, of Dayton, died at 5:05 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital.
She was born April 13, 1919, in Dayton, to the late Ralph M. and Elsie E. Carpenter Biery. She graduated from Dayton High School.
On April 7, 1938, she married Arthur J. Bol in Terre Haute, and he died Oct. 7, 1999.
Mrs. Bol worked as a bank teller at Lafayette National Bank in Dayton and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Dayton United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Dayton Senior Teens, played the piano for church, Mulberry Lutheran Home and the New Daytones. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing cards and solving puzzles.
Surviving are three daughters, Marietta M. Hatke (husband: Roy), E. Paulette Lambirth (husband: Ranny) Lana K. Rice (husband: John); a brother, David E. Biery (wife: Thelma); and a sister, Jeanette Gibson, all of Lafayette.
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bob and John Biery; 3 sisters, Fran Merrett, Maxine Biery and Pauline Leibenguth; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at Dayton United Methodist Church and again 1 hour prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Dayton United Methodist Church, 7201 Wesleyan Dr. Dayton, IN, 47941 with Pastor Mike Dominick officiating. Burial will follow at Wyandotte Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to the Global Impact Celebration Scholarship Fund C/O Dayton United Methodist Church, 7201 Wesleyan Dr. Dayton, IN 47941.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Mary was such a sweet person and loved God very much. We shall always remember her devotion to her Church and family. I was her pastor from 1976 to 1983.

So, so sad to hear of your mother&s death. Your parents and mine (Ralph and Irene Loft) were old friends and spent such good times together.

Not sure if I will share the news with my mother. She had a stroke in January 2011 and moved to assisted living in June. Her health is fair. News of losing one of her old friends may be more heartbreaking than we want to put her through. If she could, she would be there for you. She loved your mother.

Prayer surround you through your sorrow.

When I first met her I knew she was a special lady, a Godly woman who exudes kindness and love.Words cannot even begin to express my sorrow,May the comfort of God help you during this difficult time. I know the heavens rejoiced to have a sister in Christ welcomed into His kingdom.
