Mary E “Betty” Glotzbach, 87, of Lafayette, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Indiana University Health.
She was born April 2, 1924, in Benton County, to the late Charles and Pauline Benner Kline. She graduated from Raub High School and attended Purdue University.
On April 14, 1947, she married Herman Glotzbach in Earl Park. He preceded her in death in June 1986.
Mrs. Glotzbach worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital in data processing for several years, retiring in 1986.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and was a Cub&s fan and enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, bird watching and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children Michael A. Glotzbach (wife: Penny) of Lafayette, M. Evelyn Cooksey (husband: Bub) of Hot Springs Village, Ark., David W. Glotzbach (wife: Deborah) of West Lafayette and Donna M. Brassie (husband: Randy) of Lafayette; and sister, Evelyn Williams, Sacramento, Calif.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Preceded in death by a grandson, James David Bailey III, brothers, Herbert and Harold Kline.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., with Rosary at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment, Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute to the Susan G Koman Cancer Fund.

We were so very sorry to hear the news of such a wonderful lady. Donna and Randy were our first friends and neighbors when we moved to Lafayette so we would often visit with both of her parents. They welcomed us to family events and we would swim at their home in the country.
I know it&s a very difficult time right now but please find some peace in the loving memories you have with her and pass on all of the important life lessons you learned from her.
