Mary Ann Jones, 87, of West Lafayette died February 4, 2013 at IU Arnett Hospital. She was born May 23, 1925, in Rochester, NY, to the late Vincent and Dorothy Moore. On September 8, 1945 she married Russell Jones, DVM and he preceded her in death. Mary Ann was a charter member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament and had been member and past President of the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxillary. Surviving are her children Douglas Jones of Boulder, CO, Timothy Jones (Lisa) of Las Vegas, NV Christopher Jones (Christine) of West Lafayette, and Robert Jones of Reno, NV; Grandchildren Joy, Michael, Andrew, Emily, Nicole, Joellyn, Geoffrey; Great-Grandchildren Owen, Jade, Jack, Gage, Aiden, Max; sisters Sheila and Claire and brother Ronald. Mary Ann had a great love of life and always saw the positive side of things. She loved to travel with her husband, children and friends, and continued that interest throughout her years. Social events were always on the top of her list, whether with family, Bridge Clubs, gourmet cuisine, Purdue University organizations or charitable groups. Her beloved Basset Hound, Sebastian, was regularly by her side. Memorial service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at University Place, 1700 Lindbergb Road, West Lafayette.
