Mary Alice Phillips-Loss passed into the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord and God she faithfully served. She crossed over into his presence on Thursday April 16. She was a gift to those of us who were blessed to have known her and will now dwell in the eternal home that has been prepared for her. By now, she has heard the words: Well done, good and faithful servant. In the years of her earthly journey Mary touched the lives of many: parents, siblings, husband children, grandchildren and close ones. Her spirit, intellect, wit and steadfast reliance on God were an example and a blessing to those of us who knew and loved her and an inspiration to many others. She considered the needs of others before her own and changed many lives for the good; in large, small and often profound ways. She was imbued with a generosity of spirit that inspired her to open her home and her heart to lost causes which included two and four legged creatures. The door of her home was seldom locked and the door of her heart was never locked. This temporal place in time which we call human existence will be a bit more bleak and less colorful for her absence. But she is now free. Mary is survived by her children: Caleb, Ethan and Carole as well as her husband Brian. The family requests that rather than sending flowers donations may be made to the charitable fund established in Mary's name to defray the medical expensed not covered by insurance. Graveside service will be at Grandview Cemetery 1510 N. Salisbury St., West Lafayette, IN on Monday 4/20/15 at 1:00 followed by a Church Service at Covenant Church starting at 2:00.
