Amy Morris (Jenkins) left a message on July 26, 2011:
You should all know how very proud your mom was of all of you. She was a remarkable woman who made such a difference in so many people&s lives. I have known her for almost 20 years. My mother in law Gean Jenkins was a good friend of her&s and over the years she became a friend to me and a grandma to my children.

Marilyn was such a role model for them. We would visit with her and listen to her stories. She did so many things in her life that most people could only wish to do half of. She taught my kids the fun and importance of volunteering and visiting with the residents at the Veterans home. She helped to instill in them a pride in their country that most kids don&t have today. They will miss her tremendously.

I am sorry for the pain you all feel but know that you are not alone. We will always remember the lessons she taught us and the laughs that we had. Besides, she is going to be watching over us and never let us rest on our laurels.

Your mother was in short, amazing and we loved her very much.
