Marilyn K. (Blue) Yundt, age 62, of Lafayette died on Tuesday, January 13th at St. Elizabeth East after a courageous 7 month battle with cancer. She was born in Lafayette on August 21, 1952. She was the daughter of Ralph G. and Norma Jean (Caldwell) Blue who are both deceased. She graduated from Southwestern High School in 1970. She attended Ball State and graduated from Purdue in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health. She worked in Washington D.C. at the Export-Import Bank for 2 years and moved back to Indiana to wed Duane J. Yundt in November 1975 and farmed with him until their divorce in 1997. She has worked as the Center Coordinator for the Whistler Center for Carbohydrates Research from 1997 to present. She loved to spend time with her grandsons, to travel, to read, volunteered at the women's shelter, was a Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher. She was a former president of the local and state chapters of Resolve and was on their national board. Marilyn is survived by daughter Michelle Dunbar of Lafayette and son Andrew Yundt (wife Kate) of West Lafayette. She is also survived by sisters Judith Ann Whitney of Fishers and Linda Blue of Lafayette and brother Charles Blue (wife Ruth) of Lafayette. Marilyn is survived by 4 grandsons -Damon and Dominick Juvinall of Janesville, Wisconsin and Logan and Landon Dunbar of Thorntown, Indiana. She is survived by 2 nieces and 1 great niece and 1 great nephew. She had several close friends whom she cherished very much. Marilyn chose to be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring and notice will be to follow. In lieu of flowers the family request a donation in her memory to the charity of their choice.
