Dear Brent, Ruth and all those who loved Marie,

I have just learned from my uncle Bob Sheetz of the passing of Marie and wanted you to express how much I loved her. As you know, Marie was a dearly beloved life-long friend of my mother and family, a woman who stepped in to help me when my mother died in my early childhood and someone I have always valued and respected.

I have been able to visit Marie over the many years since living in Fowler. She was so gracious, eager to hear stories of me and my family and always had sage advise and concern. I loved her beautiful smile and laughter, her open heart and enthusiasm for life. She always encouraged me to be my best and reminded me who my parents were and the love she still held for them.

Due to my own health issues I have not been able to get to Indiana in several years and have missed my drop in visits with her. I did get to talk with her a few months ago and relished out visit.

Please know you are all in my heart at this time and I send my very best to each of you and hold Marie in my thoughts and prayers.

Love, Mary Isham
