Margaret L. Farrington, 92, of California, formerly of Lafayette passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. She was born July 29, 1924, in Lafayette to the late John and Pearl Ward. In 1941 she married Eugene Farrington in Indianpolis and he preceded her in death. Margaret worked as a nursing assistant at Home Hospital for many years and is retired.
Surviving are her children Dana Perdue of Beaumont, CA, Don Farrington of Lafayette, Lola Martin of CA, Barbara Shrum of Lafayette, IN, grandchildren Keith Farrington, Cory Martinez, Mark Berry, Mike Berry. Her granddaughter Tiffany Partin, Jackie Hudson, Angela Farrington and great-grandson, Jace Vesselkov. Also surviving is her sister Della Thunderbird of OR. There are no words to describe the loss the world has suffered for Margret was the very definition of a kind soul. Quick to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Margret had a great love for kids and family and other people all together. Always lending a helping hand where she could it’s what drove her passion for nursing. Margret lived to see five generations and devoted her life to helping her family and others. With our great loss it is safe to say heaven gained one beautiful angel. Margaret was an Angel from Heaven. She always thought of others first, never her self. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to a 11:00am Wednesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Entombment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
