Margaret A. Hummer, 68, of Venice, FL, formerly of Lafayette died at 11:05 PM Friday, August 4, 2013 at Tidewell Hospice in Sarasota, FL. She was born February 6, 1945, in Lafayette, to the late Cyrus and Mary Metzger Nolin. Margaret was a hairdresser at Debonair in Lafayette for 10 years, worked 10 years for Lafayette Venetian Blind Co., and for the past 10 years the Venice Elementary School in Venice, FL. Her great passions in her life were her family, fishing and traveling. Margaret is survived by her husband of 44 years Aaron H. Hummer Jr., children; Marvin, Mary, Don, Jeff, Aaron, Mike, and Lisa; brothers, Beecher Metzger and Bill Nolin, sisters Marsha Leffert, Bonita Pelham, and her aunt Sister Patricia Ankey; twenty grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, funeral service 10:00 AM Friday, August 9, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
