We are sending a dove to heaven, with a parcel on its wings. Be careful when you open it, for it is filled with beautiful things. Marcia Joann Sowder-Pushor (Jo) was a beautiful person. Her whole life, she has turned everything she touched into something beautiful. She entered the gates of heaven on April 27, 2020 at 9:30pm. Nothing represents Jo more than Proverbs 31:30-31. “A woman who fears the lord, she shall be praised. Give her the product of her hands and let her works praise her in the gates.” Her husband, Children and grandchildren rise up and bless her: Patrick W Pushor(husband), Holly Sowders-Benjemia(daughter), Ian (Seif) Benjemia(grandson), Hadiya (Sophia) Benjemia(granddaughter) all of West Lafayette, IN; Erica Pushor(step-daughter) of Indianapolis, IN. Gustavel, mother Carolyn Mae Bol Gustavel, and brother John Robert Gustavel met her at the gates of heaven to welcome her. Jo worked for Home Hospital for 36 years as a Cardiac and Pulmonary/Rehab Technician. She also had a catering business for 10 years. She loved cooking for holidays and special events and also loved spending time with her family. She has also had the vacuum cleaner attached at her hip ready to clean any spot out of place. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching to pass the time. She also really loved having fun and hanging out with her close friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Sanctuary of Hope, International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ), or National Kidney Foundation. All of these organizations were very close to Jo’s heart and it would mean the world to continue the love she felt for them. Romans 8:28 also states “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good.”
Jo will be missed by her friends and family, but will always be kept close to our hearts.
