Lucinda Ann Van Hyfte

? Lucinda Ann “Cindy” Van Hyfte, 63, of Dayton, died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at her residence.
Born Sept. 3, 1946, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Helen Garriott Cripe. She graduated from Attica High School in 1964.
On June 21, 1964, she married Charles “Chuck” Van Hyfte in Attica, and he survives.
Mrs. Van Hyfte was a homemaker and had worked over 18 years at H&R Block as a receptionist.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, flower gardening, traveling on vacation, and playing board games.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Brian Van Hyfte (wife: Denise) of Williamsport; a daughter, Vicki Willis (husband: Douglas) of Dayton; and a brother, Max Cripe (wife: Mary) of Williamsport.
Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Dusty and Brent Van Hyfte and Zachary and Jacob Willis; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jim and Dale Van Hyfte of Pine Village and Mike and Tanya Van Hyfte of West Lafayette.
Visitation will be 2 hours prior to a 2 p.m. service Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway West, West Lafayette, IN 47906, with Pastor Jerry Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute to the St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1415 Salem St., Suite 202-W, Lafayette, IN 47904.

I would like to send my condolences to you. I just drove through Attica on Tuesday. I always think of you guys when driving through. It was a quick 4 years when we lived on Lacross Ct., but a very formative time. I remember many sleepovers, kickball games, German spotlight in your backyard, etc. Cindy was always welcoming and I always felt comfortable at your house. I know she will be missed. I will be out of town this weekend. I will be thinking you.
