Lloyd R. “Tiny” Charlesworth, 68, of Lafayette, died at noon Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at his residence.
Born Sept. 14, 1941, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Blanche Lowe Charlesworth. He graduated from Battle Ground High School.
On June 26, 1965, he married Carole Gick, and she survives.
Mr. Charlesworth had been an electrician for Lawrence Bowers since 1969, retiring in 2007.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, traveling and camping, and going to casinos.
Surviving with his wife are a son, Raymond A. Charlesworth (wife: Juli) of Wanatah; a daughter, Julie Ply (husband: Kevin) of Lafayette; and a sister, Rose Johnson of Lafayette.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Riley and Justene Charlesworth and Elizabeth, Amanda and Mitchell Ply. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bill R. Charlesworth and David A. Charlesworth.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Pastor David French officiating. I am so sorry to hear that Tiny passed away. I worked with him at Lawrence Bowers Electric for 2 years back in the early 80s.

So Sorry to hear of your loss. We were friends for well over 50 years and he was always so cheerful when we did get to visit. We are just heartsick to hear about Tiny. We just heard your message tonight on our answering machine. We were gone all day today at our niece&s funeral. We don&t see any way for us to get down there tomorrow in time for the funeral. If there was any way for us to be there we would. We love you all so very much and loved Tiny more than you can know. Carole: I don&t know if you&ll remember me - we met a couple of times years ago. My father was Perry Collen of Lawrence Bowers Co. Tiny had done work at my house on North 22nd St. a couple of times. I had talked with him many times at the shop. He was a warm and wonderful man. I lost my first husband (Jim Baer) when I was 42 and had two children at home. My current husband, Walt lost his first wife also. We know personally the heartache you and your family are going through. I will remember you in prayer. I know you will think back on all the years you shared with Tiny and the wonderful times and experiences you had. May you find comfort in them. My sincere sympathy goes out to you and your family.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. We trust he was a Christian and has gone home to be with our Lord and Saviour and is looking down on you smiling. Our prayers are with you and your family.
