Lisa A. (Cauley) Adams, 56, of West Lafayette, went to be with the Lord at 2:52 pm, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Franciscan Health St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
She was born September 27, 1961 in Belzoni, MS to Ed Cauley and the late Julia Cauley. She graduated from High School in Pascagoula, MS and attended 1 year at Southeastern Baptist College in Laurel, MS before completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Lakeville School of Nursing in Danville, IL. Lisa was dedicated to nursing and worked her way up from LPN to RN and eventually received her Master of Science in Health Administration from Ohio University. She most recently worked at St. Elizabeth East as the Quality Control Director.
Lisa married John G. Adams, MD on March 6, 2004 in Danville, IL. He survives. She was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in West Lafayette where she enjoyed volunteering and was happy to arrange the Usher’s Schedule. Lisa also enjoyed painting and doing crafts. She was a dedicated mother and wife who cherished the time spent with her children and family.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. John Adams of West Lafayette; her father, Ed Cauley of Danville, IL; a son, Clayton Miller of Lafayette; 2 brothers, Cliff Cauley of State Line, IL, Chris Cauley of Brighton, MI; and a sister, Michelle Miller of Sadorus, IL.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Cauley; and her daughter, Rebecca Stiner.
Memorial contributions may be given in Lisa’s name to St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church at 4703 N. 50 West, West Lafayette, IN 47906 or to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607. Envelopes will be available at the church.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 4703 N. 50 West, West Lafayette, IN 47906. Entombment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 W. 350 North, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
