Linda L. Stivers, 63
Linda L. Stivers, 63, of Lafayette, died at 5:49 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Central.
Born Jan. 26, 1947, in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Rowe and Betty Wheeler Royer. She graduated from Lauramie High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing as an operating room technician.
On Oct. 25, 1969, she married Freddie A. Stivers in Lafayette, and he survives.
Mrs. Stivers was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Florida, bowling and spending time with her grandson.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Shane Stivers of Lafayette and Jennifer Stivers of Circleville, Ohio.
Also surviving is her grandson, Jacob Cross.
Visitation 4-6 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service 6 p.m. Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, Celebrant Carla Ellis officiating. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We had no idea Linda was so ill until Greg read Jennifer&s facebook a couple of weeks ago. We are sorry that we cannot offer our condolences in person. Allison (allisonjames54@hotmail.com) and her family also offer their sympathies.

Fred and family, very sorry to hear about Linda. I know she has been ill for a while, and you guys have done a great job of being there with her.

Fred, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you in the coming weeks and months. I am just down the street from you, so stop by or give me a call. We will have to go fishing later this Spring.

I am so sorry to learn of Linda&s passing. I had a home based accounting business and she was my contact when she worked at Samson & Delilahs and NeoVision Optical. She was very pleasant to work with and very helpful too.

We no longer live in Lafayette - my husband has retired from Century 21 Realty and we spend 6 months in Florida (our daughter and family live here) and the other 6 months in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Again I am so very sorry about Linda&s passing. I will keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

Shane and Jennifer, I&m so sorry to learn of your mother&s passing. Your parents were always fun and friendly folks, and I very much remember them bowling in those Thursday night Eli Lilly leagues with my parents. All those nights of hanging out at Market Square Lanes! Your mom was always quick with a smile and a hello in the occasional times I&d run into her somewhere in town.

I know it&s terribly difficult right now, but rejoice in knowing your mom is in a better place and free of the physical issues she battled. Amidst the tears, find joy and smiles as you remember the many great memories you have and celebrate her life! And remember the greatest joy in knowing that, while the parting today is hard, you&ll be together again one day.

May God keep and comfort you and your family in your grief. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am in total shock in the passing of Linda. I guess when I talked to you Fred I didn&t realize the severity of her illness. I lost my mother this past year so I know your grief right now. Please accept my family&s condolences. I didn&t know about her grandson, Jacob either. I know how I love my 2. If anything I can do please call.

Linda was always an outgoing and friendly person. I always enjoyed bowling with her. She had a great smile. May she rest in peace with the Lord.
