To the family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you as you prepare to receive family and friends into your lives to mourn, and to celebrate the life of Lewis. My memories of Lewis take me to pork chop dinners that he treated Bill and me with. He was a generous, Christian man, who was loved and will be missed. With sympathy, Jane.

Barry and Susie Bretz left a message on October 19, 2010:
Lewie, will be greatly missed. His presence at the back pew at church was always a warm welcome to all. He kept the congregation up to date on all the Purdue scores. He had a wonderful speaking voice. He was the first person at church who accepted me and my family as if we had always been there. Our congregation, the community and your wonderful family have been blessed that he was a part of our lives. He has left an empty spot, but I will always feel his being at that pew every Sunday . God Bless you all, Susie Bretz
