LaVerna E. Hurst, 80
LaVerna E. Hurst, 80, of Lafayette, died at 6:10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at St. Anthony Health Care.
She was born Oct. 28, 1929, in Danville, Ill., and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Marjorie Stipp Slifer and a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School.
In 1947, in Lafayette, she married Jack R. Hurst, and he died on Dec. 1, 1995.
Mrs. Hurst was a member of Hope Chapel Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Patricia Burdine (husband: Thomas) Lafayette and Barbara Biggs of Davenport Iowa.
