Laura L. Moody, 36, of Lafayette, IN, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at her residence. She was born June 2, 1977, in Pittsfield, MA, to Donald and Cynthia Wilson Kelso of Sanderson, TX. Laura graduated from Winamac Community High School in 1995 and Purdue University in 1999. On June 27, 2004, she married Ronald Brian Moody in Lafayette and he survives. Laura was a teacher with Lafayette School Corp. for 12 years and was currently teaching at Miami Elementary School. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Laura tried to the live the 4-H motto “To make the best better”. She will be greatly missed. Surviving along with her husband are her children Brock, Dylan and Katie Moody all at home. Also surviving are her brothers, Eric Kelso (Peggy) of Carmel, IN, Ron Kelso (Lori) of Evansville, IN and Tom Kelso (Kathy) of Decatur, GA. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral service 10:00 AM Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Burial will be at Wyandotte Cemetery.
