Larry Leon Shuster, 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette.
He was born July 12, 1947, in Lafayette, to the late L. Leon and Vera (Brand) Shuster.
Larry graduated from Otterbein High School and served proudly in the US Navy.
Larry lived in Florida and was a boat builder and repaired race boats. He became a wine maker by teaching himself and became the wine maker for Florida Orange Grove. When Larry moved back to Indiana he was a wine consultant for several Indiana wineries. Larry moved back to Otterbein in 2000 to take care of his mother. After her passing, Larry attended classes receiving his Associate degree through Ivy Tech. After graduation he attended Purdue University working towards his Bachelor degree in Food Science. Larry was a caring and loving son, brother and uncle. He loved meeting new people and talking about any subject. He was always there when ever anyone needed help. Larry loved to travel.
Surviving is a sister, Carolyn R. (Lewis) Watson of Otterbein, two nephews, Rossington (Tina) Gardner of Hudson, FL and Justin (Kim) Gardner of Monticello, a niece, Abigayle Watson of Otterbein, six great nieces, Jordan Patterson, Jenna Patterson, McKinzie Gardner, Makaila Gardner, Madison Gardner and Brielle Watson, three great nephews, Blake Noe, Johnnie Noe, and Joshua Gardner.
He was preceded in death by a great niece, Braylee Watson
