Larry Cox (61) passed away at 5:38 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Emergency Room at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Creasy Lane. He was born on April 22, 1954 in Indianapolis to Shelby and Barbara (née Winter) Cox. They preceded him in death. Larry graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972. He then went to Purdue University where he was a representative to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Convention at Jaspar-Polaski Wildlife Reserve. He was awarded a Hoosier Scholar status and received a BS in Agriculture and Wild Life Science in 1977. A carpenter by trade, Larry enjoyed woodcrafts and making furniture. He also enjoyed camping, travel and science fiction with an interest in space and aeronautical exploration. He is survived by a son, Devon Z. Cox who lives in London, England. He also has a stepson, Jovan Neubauer of Lafayette and two sisters, Janice McDonald of Indianapolis and Patti Cox of Lafayette. Visitation will be from 12-1PM Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Service will be at 1 PM Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Interment at a later date.
