Lamona C Woodward, 70
Lamona C “”Mona”” Woodward, 70, of Lafayette, died at 7:06 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospital East.
She was born April 16, 1940, in Allen County, Ky., to the late Barney and Etta Eakle Myers.
She attended Allen County High School in Allen County.
On Feb. 16, 1957, she married Bill Woodward in Scottsville, Ky. He survives.
Mrs. Woodward was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, the American Legion Post 11 Auxiliary, and the Moose Lodge Auxiliary.
She worked as a realtor for 16 years at Century 21 Bouwkamp and Francis Realty, retiring in 2007.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, and watching cooking shows. She was a Colts fan.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Kathy Kappes, Tina Dexter (husband: Gregg), Traci Myers (husband: Jim), all of Lafayette; a sister, Bonnie Claspell (husband: Harold), of Indianapolis, and brother, Fred Myers (wife: Alice) of Lafayette.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Eric Kappes (wife: Melinda), Seth Kappes, Joshua Dexter, Bradley Myers; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney Carr Myers and Etta S. Eakle Myers, and a brother, Bill Myers.
Visitation will be 5 – 8 PM on Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Funeral service 10 AM Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Pastor Dan Young will be officiating.
