Kerry Louis Dunlavey, 61 of Rossville, Indiana passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident on Monday, November 14th, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born September 29, 1955 in Lafayette, Indiana, son of the late Louis F. Dunlavey and Patricia L. (Wright) Dunlavey.
He married Linda S. Byers on May 7, 1977 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Lafayette, Indiana. Kerry was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High school in 1975.
He was an employee of Eli Lilly & Company for 28 years. He worked in Clinton, West Lafayette, and Corporate Headquarters in Indianapolis. Currently, he was an employee for Endeavor Air-Delta, as a Spare Parts Coordinator. Kerry was also employed for Dick's Sporting Goods in Lafayette and previously worked in Carmel and Indianapolis.
Kerry loved The Lord with all of his heart and was eager to share that with others. He attended Grace Community Church in Noblesville, Indiana. Kerry loved his family and grandchildren dearly. And his grandchildren loved their Papaw. Kerry enjoyed sports, fishing, and the outdoors. Most of all, Kerry will always be remembered by his unconditional love, to serve others, his sense of humor, and silly pranks. As a result of his big heart and love for others, Kerry was nicknamed “Carebear” by his family.
Surviving is his wife Linda of Rossville, IN. Sister Sandy (Dave) Stong of Coatesville, PA. Daughter Nicole (Brent) Michael of Rossville, IN. Son Brad (Jacqueline) Dunlavey of Whitestown, IN. 4 Grandchildren Grant, Olivia, Sophia Michael and Hallie Dunlavey. The services will be held at Soller & Baker at 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, Indiana. Visitation will be Friday, November 18th, 2016 from 5-8pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at 10am Soller-Baker Lafayette chapel. Burial will be at Meadow View Cemetery.
