Kenneth L. Shepherd, 79, of Lafayette, passed away, Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at his residence with family by his side.
He was born November 8, 1941, in Williamsport to the late Ernest and Marie (Wilkerson) Shepherd. He was a 1959 graduate of Attica High School. In 1960 he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. On October 15, 1965, Kenneth married the love of his life, Sonjia Lee Parr, she preceded him in death in July 2014.
After Kenneth was honorably discharged he worked at Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) in the Tool & Die Department for 42 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the American Legion, ALCOA 25-year club, and ALCOA Retirees Club.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Patrick Shepherd of Lafayette, Paul (Megan) Shepherd of Indialantic, FL, Dana Shepherd (Robin Scott) of Fort Wayne, and stepdaughter, Gail Summers of Lafayette; 2 grandsons, Daniel and Christopher of Indialantic, FL; a brother, Robert Shepherd of Attica; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Russell and Harold (Jim); and a sister, Iva Dalton.

In accordance with his final wishes and concern for everyone’s safety, there will be no memorial service at this time due to the coronavirus.
