I'll never forget that smile and that laugh. She was an amazing human being that was truly walking in her purpose. My son loved her as an educator in his pre school journey. Often times when I would pick him up I ended up staying later than usual just talking and laughing with her about life in general and something random my son or another child did. She will be greatly missed!! Love Hattie and Alontae (Right Steps Lafayette)

Molly, how I wish I could be there Tuesday to support you, your Dad, Macy and Emily during this sad and difficult time. Your Mother was a wonderful teacher and friend but most of all, she was your mother. She has left a beautiful legacy in you girls. Know that I am thinking of you now and in the future.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I was a substitute teacher at CPSC and Kelly was always someone I could look forward to working with, or just stopping by the room to chat with. She would even text me when there was an opening for me to sub. Always good with the kids, and kind to others. She will be missed. ?

The children of Clinton Prairie were lucky to have had Mrs. Ward in their young lives. Your family may never know our names or faces, but our many children will carry on Kelly's spirit. We can likely never know or even comprehend the things our children picked up in their time with Kelly, an important and formative point in their lives - demeanor, mannerisms, phrasing; countless things that are subtle, but make a person who they are. Her commitment to treating our children as her own was clear. She liked to say "thanks" for sharing our kids with her. It's us who owe a Thank you to Mrs. Ward for sharing herself with our kids. She will be greatly missed.

Miss Kelly was so loved by our family. Our oldest daughter was 3 years old when she and her little brother entered our home as foster children. Our daughter had Kelly as a teacher at daycare. I'll never forget the kindness, grace, and love that Kelly had for all our children. Healing comes from relationships and Kelly gave her heart daily to every child she taught. I'll never forget how after a few months of our daughter in our care, Kelly told me that she could see the light of Jesus shining in our daughter's eyes. Kelly reached so many people with her kindness and unconditional acceptance. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She will be missed so much.

My deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved, Kelly. I briefly worked with Kelly at DCS and admired her passion, commitment and dedication to the job. She had a great personality and kept such a spark inside her , even in the most difficult situations. Kelly always talked about how she waited to find the man of her dreams and always gave the best dating advice on how to wait for “the one”. We recently reconnected on Facebook and I loved seeing how happy she was on a vacation where she treated herself to all the sweetest things. Kelly loved her family so much, but also had a way of making you feel like you had always known her and been a part of her life. I am so sorry for your loss of such a special, loving, kind and compassionate person.

She was so loved and will be deeply missed. Judy Clark

Kelly was a big part of my childhood. I was struggling with anxiety and depression at the age of 7 and attended TLCC where she worked. She was the kindest soul. She showed me love and grace and I am forever grateful for the role she played in my life. She only did good, for everyone. She’s touched so many lives. There aren’t words that can fulfill the gratitude I have for her. I am incredibly heartbroken and saddened for her and her family.

We had the amazing opportunity to cross paths while at TLCC in Lafayette I handed over my 9-month-old into her most capable hands. She was a comfort for a new mother! Fast forward 14 years as I went to drop off my youngest in a completely different school corporation and there she was greeting and offering comfort yet again. Her smile and sense of humor are unforgettable. We greatly thank you for sharing her with us! The Shuberts <3
