Kay F. “Frannie” Trueblood, 72, of Fort Wayne, died at 6:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Lafayette, and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Emma Brown Schley.
On Dec. 30, 1961, she married Harlan D. Taylor. He died Aug. 8, 1965.
Ms. Trueblood was a cook at Pizza Hut for 18 years and at Steak ?n Shake for 32 years.
She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and enjoyed watching television, going for bus rides and was an avid Purdue fan.
Surviving are two daughters, Darlene F. Galey of Fort Wayne and Carla JoAnn Taylor of Brookston; a sister, Connie Pace; and two brothers, Edward “Butch” Schley (wife: Cassie) and Richard Schley (wife: Vona), both of Delphi.
Also surviving are a grandson, Earl Galey Jr.; and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Smith; and a brother, Robert Schley.
Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909, with Wahneta Schley officiating. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Those wishing may contribute to the American Cancer Society.
