Kathryn M. Bollock, 82 of West Lafayette passed away at 6:35 am on Thursday August 27, 2020. She was born on June 25, 1938 in Quincy, IL to the late August and Gertrude (Mauthe) Koehler.

She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Quincy, received her B.S. degree in Education from Western Illinois University and her M.S. degree from the University of Illinois.

On December 29, 1962 she married Ronald H. Bollock of Lafayette and he survives. She was a teacher with Springfield, IL Public Schools prior to she and her husband moving to Lafayette.

She is survived by three children: James (Lori) of Lafayette, Mary Ann Benecke (Mike) of Napoleon, OH and Denise Ross (Stan) of Muncie, IN. She also is survived by five grandchildren Emily Richter (Tyler) Casey and Holly Bollock, Lyndon Benecke (Chelsea) and Andrea Meyer (Jake), and a great grand-daughter Alexis Meyer.

In Lafayette she was a substitute teacher for both the Catholic and public schools. She also taught at the Lafayette Adult Resource Academy and most recently volunteered with the Read to Succeed program in Lafayette. She had a passion for teaching.

She enjoyed gardening, needle work, camping, traveling, cooking, family history and volunteering in various endeavors for the Lafayette community, especially Caregiver Companion and Friends of the Library. She enjoyed her five grandchildren and treasured the times when the entire family was together.

Kathryn is also survived by three sisters, Gertrude Koehler, Rosemary (Robert) Stock, Claire L. Goerlich, all living in Illinois. Preceding her in death with her parents is a brother, Paul Koehler.

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 30, from 3:00 until 6:00 pm at Soller Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Monday, August 31, at 10:30 am with Fr. Jeff Martin officiating. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lafayette Catholic Schools.

My thoughts, prayers, and sympathy to Jim, and the entire Bollock Family~ Know your pain, grief, and sense of loss firsthand, as I lost my Father 10 years ago at the young age of 68. I remember your Parents being at his funeral which brought my Family & I great comfort. Sorry I wasn't able to be there due of COVID-19. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. They will always live on in/thru Us and our memories.. Happy our families were close when we were growing up and for the memories we share. I always enjoyed Kathy in my class at the YMCA. She always had a sweet smile. When she no longer could attend she was sorely missed!

Kathy was a wonderful lady who will be greatly missed. I have missed seeing Kathy and Ron at Mass since they moved. They told me many times how much they enjoyed seeing my husband, children, and I at Mass every Sunday and getting the opportunity to see my children grow into adults. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry t9 hear of Kathy's death. Missed seeing both of you after Sunday morning Mass. We enjoyed our breakfast chats. We have not been to Mass since March. Miss it too.May God bless all of your family.

My sympathy to Ron and the Koehler family. I enjoyed knowing Kathy and Ron in Springfield, IL. She will be missed by all. She was a trusted friend and companion on our many adventures.

Kathryn Bullock was a kind, gentle soul who frequently welcomed me into her home during my high school years to work with her daughter Mary Ann on the Central Catholic High School yearbook. I loved talking to Kathy and Ron. Their house was warm and welcoming. One summer I went to Michigan with the Bullock family; I remember eating Kathy's delicious cookies! In later years, I loved seeing Kathy at Mass on Saturday evenings at Westminster Village. She radiated joy as she held Ron's hand. I will miss her beautiful smile!

It has been both privilege & pleasure to live next door to Kathy & Ron these past 4 years. Our deepest condolences to the entire family. You are all in our prayers. Blessings to you all in this time of loss. God's peace. Michaela & Mark
