Judy Ann Haan, 62, of West Lafayette, died at 12:15 PM Monday, August 20, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Central.
She was born February 5, 1950, in Lafayette to the late Bernard and Mary Hatke Spitznagle.
She graduated from Wainwright High School in 1968.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Fred Haan. They were married September 25, 1941 in Lafayette.
Judy spent her life caring for her family as a wife and mother. Judy also worked as a secretary at Purdue University for 17 years.
Judy was an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, knitting and playing Euchre.
Surviving along with her husband are children Doug Haan (wife Trish) of Lafayette, Karen Waselko (husband Dave) of Cardington, OH, Steve Haan (wife Aileen) of St. Paul, MN, Diane Lohmeyer (husband Mike) of Lafayette, Joe Haan (wife Courtney) of Evansville, Bruce Haan (wife Jean) of Juneau, WI; brothers and sisters Janice Haan (husband Jack), Don Spitznagle (wife JoAnne), John Spitznagle (wife Nancy), Dave Spitznagle (wife Judy), Rich Spitznagle (wife Retta), Karen Hilker (husband Jim), Ann Crisp (husband Jim), Mick Spitznagle (companion Esther Arth), Marilyn Butcher (husband Gary) and 13 Grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 pm with Rosary Service at 4:45 pm Friday, August 24, 2012 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, August 25 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Otterbein with Fr. Bob Klemme officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
