Judith P. Peters, 56, of Frankfort, passed away at 3:20 PM Monday, February 9, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born July 7, 1958, in Lafayette, to the late Alvin and Velma Whitlock Burris. Judy graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1976. On April 22, 2000 she married Norman M. Peters in Lafayette. He passed away October 21, 2009. Judy was the Manager of Arrow Vault Company for 24 years. She enjoyed working and visiting with friends and family. Surviving are a daughter, Michelle Mays of San Antonio, TX, a son, Michael Mays (Stephanie) of Lafayette, a step-son, Kevin Peters (Shari) of Lafayette, 3 step-daughters, Kim Rice (Mike) of Dayton, Mary Anne Rader (Walter) of Lafayette, Marsha Hufford (Dwaine) of Mulberry, her brother, Robert Burris (Kathy) of Lafayette, granddaughter, Promise Mays, 14 step grandchildren and 28 step great grandchildren. Also surviving is a close friend Butch McDonald. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, her funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 12th at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN with Rev. Dr. Clayton Kendall and Kathy Burris officiating. Burial will follow at Wyandotte Cemetery. Those wishing may contribute to Gideon's International.
