Joyce M. Brown, 82, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East.  She was born July 16, 1935, in Indianapolis, to the the late Lawrence and Pauline Marshall Ford.

Joyce graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1953 and on July 17, 1953, she married Donald D. Brown in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1999.  Joyce had worked at Purdue University in the Bursars Office and was a teller at Lafayette Bank and Trust. 

She was an avid Purdue Womens Basketball fan and was a member of the Boilermaker Network and John Purdue Club.  Joyce enjoyed auto racing, reading, playing board games, crocheting, family gatherings and playing poker with her nurse friends.

Surviving are her children Donna Sue Brown Randolph, Kevin W. (Janice) Brown all of Lafayette, Stephanie L. (Kevin) Johnson of West Lafayette, 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are her brothers Larry (Sharon) Ford of Safford, AZ, Stephen (Brenda) Ford of Largo, FL, and her sister Sharon Daggett of Delray Beach, FL.  Joyce was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren Angela Brown, Brent Randolph and a sister Linda Steckler. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation in Joyce’s memory.
