Lee, Laura, Emily, Aaron and Mary Grace, I am so blessed to have known Joyce. I remember her as a great conversationalist and appreciate her work on the school board at St. James. Peace to your families at this time knowing she is in heaven.

Joyce was a caring, wonderful, spirited, humorous, cantankerous, beautiful woman. I met her while working at Wabash Valley and we would sit and talk about everything from family to food. She decided that we should all start going to dinner with some of our coworkers, thus the Food Junkies (or Foodies) were born! We went to many dinners together and although our group ranged greatly in age, it didn't matter because we all had the best time together. Joyce, I will miss your laugh, your hugs, your caring heart, and your smile. Hope to meet you again someday sweet lady. Until then, I'll miss you dearly.

Joyce will be missed. When we worked at Wabash Valley Hospital, I would take a break and go talk with Joyce. She was the best conversationalist. She her voice and stories were amazing to listen to. She was a one of a kind person.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. She loved all of her children, grandchildren, and great grand children. She loved her husband dearly. She talked about all of you frequently. I enjoyed hearing her talk about her family and their travels all around the world. She is a woman that I will always hold dear to my heart. Thank you all for allowing me the oppurtunity to know her and care for her. She will be missed by so many. One thing she did say to me was no more tears, no more tears, no more tears. I asked her what if they are happy tears? She said to me, the only tears you should ever shed should be happy ones!

Joyce was an incredible woman. She served as our son’s CASA while we were foster parenting and adopting him. She provided us with tremendous support. We were always thrilled to see her when she came to visit. The only sad part of finalizing the adoption was that we wouldn’t get to see as much of Joyce. We will keep Joyce’s family and friends in our prayers. May special memories of Joyce lighten the burden of your grief. May God give you His perfect peace.
