Joshua A. Synesael, 38, of Lafayette, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born June 16, 1984, in Lafayette, to Richard and Fonda (West) Synesael of Lafayette.  Joshua graduated from McCutcheon High School in 2003 and on June 27, 2015, he married Sarah Andrews in Lafayette, and she survives.

Joshua worked as a Farm Technician at Purdue University for nearly 20 years.  He was a Volunteer Fireman with the Lauramie Township Fire Department for 17 years.

Joshua enjoyed hunting, fishing, off road vehicles, tinkering with small engines and tools and spending time with his daughter.

Surviving along with his wife is his daughter Becca L. Synesael and his sister Heather J. (Brett) Coleman of Lafayette. Also surviving is his grandfather Charles West of Lafayette and father and mother- in -law Mark and Ginger Andrews of Lafayette.  Joshua was preceded in death by his brother Benjamin Synesael and his grandmother Barb West.  The family wishes to thank Doctor Abonour, Chelsea Long RN and the staff at the Simon Cancer Center.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd.   Private interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation in Joshua’s memory.
