Joe W. Curtis, 57
Joe Wiley Curtis, 57, of Lafayette, died at 11:55 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010, at his residence.
Born May 18, 1953, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Charles and Norma Jean Wiley Curtis of Avon, who survive. He graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1975.
On Oct. 17, 1976, he married Sharon K. Phillips in Pekin, Ill., and she survives.
Mr. Curtis worked at Eli Lilly & Co. for 10 years as an associate engineer.
Surviving with his wife and parents is a sister, Judy Ricketts (husband: Pete) of Avon.
Also surviving are a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ellen and Rex Dornon of Carthage, Ill.; 2 nieces, Ashley and Nicole Dornon of Carthage; and his beloved dog, Lexi.
