Leah Jane Nanchy left a message on August 17, 2010:
Many of those who grew up in West Lafayette during the 1930&s and 1940&s knew her as a bright, intelligent youngter who lived on Robinson St. After earning her Pharmacy degree and spending a short amount of time in Kokomo, she and her husband, Eugene Nanchy, moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1952.

In Fort Worth, Texas, Joanne was one of the first five female pharmacists in Fort Worth. In 1956, she gave birth to her daughter, Leah Jane Nanchy.

As her daughter, I can say that life was not always easy, but my mother was always strong and hard working. She was always my role model and my hero. As I look back at the 54 years I had with her, she was the best mother I could ever have wished for. It was very much an honor to be her daughter and I will miss her till the end of my days. We were a team, we were ONE!

I Love You, Mother!
